So if the guy regassed it short of having had a full bottle he must have started it and run the compressor to get a full charge in? If you bridge the clutch cycling switch does the compressor cut in? If not try bridging the High pressure cut out switch.? Not sure how the guy can regas it and give it back not working without getting some sort of diagnosis of what is going on.

might be fixed. there was an earth cable to a relay base on the radiator support. he bumped it and clutch clicked on and off. bolt was loose. tightened it and now air con cycles. see how trip to bangkok goes

Update: TIPM changed, the aircon blows both cold and warm again, everything went back to normal. So far so good! It seems I solved the enigma, at lteast in my case. Cheers!

Well the earth cable solved the thermo fan issue, clean of the contacts on the relays and aircon was working again last night. See how long it works this time.
Had to pick mate up from hospital yesterday in Bangkok, 5 hour round trip in 40+ temps with no aircon sucked!
