fixed power steering??
Oh yeah ask this "specialist" if he used ATF instead of proper PS fluid.....It's a VERY common misconception....

fixed power steering??
Took it back to the guy today, and he loosened the pitman shaft adjuster nut a certain amount.
It certainly feels a LOT better - not as chunky.
But there is still that weird symptom, especially when going around roundabouts. Turn in to a point, and past that...WHOA, swerving/loss of control etc. It seems like you just lose feedback pressure and a minute turn brings a big wheel response.
I think I'll ring up the stealership and see what fluid they use and replace it (he did use PS fluid...see if it makes any difference.

The stealership will use "Mopar Power Steering Fluid"....

Might be too simple, but I had the same symptoms once when I spilled some oil/fluid on the fan belt pulley, causing them to slip intermittantly under pressure. causing the on off power steering.
