I'm using Frostwire now. Obviously more a stripped-down version of Limewire but it uses the same gnutella network & is based on the same open-source code. Works fine for me & searches seem to bring up the same amount of hits as Limewire did (mind you I was using Limewire basic; never tried the Pro which I believe was faster and returned more search results).
PS: And since Limewire was based on open-source code, they (the fun police, same type of people who say 40 year old men driving Jeeps with a 2" lift and 33" tires are dangerous, street-racing hoons driving unroadworthy, highly-modified deathtraps) will have a hard time shutting down all the others peer-2-peer file sharing enablers that will keep springing up (ie: frostwire) unless they completely sabotage the knutella network itself. Then again, if they can cut off funding for wikileaks by getting Bank of America, Pay-pal, Visa, etc to stop transfers then, well, maybe... (sorry to get political; personally I think Assage is a concieted, self-important tool but it just pisses me off that America, that great bastion of democracy and free Speech, makes Stalin and Hitler look like pussies when it comes to silencing those that expose the dirty little truths about how they really conduct their business and international relations).
