I thought you guys must have all lost the plot re locking the key fob in the car, but then I realised we have passive entry! I thought all TH had this standard.

Hi Deb... Mine has passive entry - but it seems the thing is specifically designed so that once locked with the key inside, it can only be unlocked from inside. Somehow, it seems to know if the key is inside the vehicle or outside. Makes sense - otherwise you'd have no way to protect yourself from carjackers/etc... Unfortunately this dawned on me the hard way!

I initially assumed like you DebAth and for a while it was only dumb luck we didnt end up locked out - then I was reading the manual one day and realised "WTF!"... It actually tickled me quite a bit to hear someone had finally done it - sorry lujabe!!! :-D

And it sounds silly I know, but I in particular am having big issues keeping track of that dongle sometimes!
