Smile Uconnect Navigation

Hi all,

I own a Trailhawk and I am experiencing something a little odd with the navigation.

Following the instructions to enter an address (to navigate to) I am unable to change the state.
I select country....Australia, and the next step should be to select the state but it cuts right back to the main screen for entering an address.
I can change it to any country but the state stays the same (QLD).
I took the car back to the dealer to get it sorted out and they said the 'changing state' function only works through voice commands.

I find this really strange and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Cheers

My TH reckons I can't use voice commands for navigation... not sure how you're supposed to change states then...

But you can enter destination post code, which would let you go anywhere?

Hi Lenoir,

Because my state is "locked" to QLD, I am limited to only entering post codes starting with 4....

If I push the voice command button and verbally say an address in NSW, it will change the state and navigate to that location. But once again, I am unable to change the state back to QLD without using the voice command.

The dealer said that this was just how it is and that all THs have the same functionality. Needless to say I have a hard time believing him and wanted to find out from other TH owners.

That sounds a bit strange - mine prompts for state then city - and you can type in each one.

As for voice command - I can't get mine to navigate to a specific address (perhaps it's my pronunciation) - but the commands "navigate home" and "cancel navigation" work for me.

Happened to me as well.

Took it into Gold Coast Jeep and they downgraded the software to an earlier version I think.

Im away for work but will check the system version when I get home. Didnt really care as it's now working.

I did update the Uconnect myself when I got the car back in April but not sure if it worked before I installed the update.
