Lol. A simple splash of a business name up and across the side panels I could handle but that and including the rear tailgate and glass smothered is a bit of a stretch for me I'm afraid. That's just me though, strange that I am.

I was happy with the alternative offered.

Just to add to my previous comment re Caroline Springs Jeep...

Just took off a couple of wheels to investigate a problem they haven't fixed yet (didn't trust them not to miss something obvious), and noticed some play in the wheel bolts. Turns out they've managed to loosen the head of the wheel bolt from the underlying bolt itself (if that makes sense). I've read that's easy to do if you over tighten. Sure enough, I had to well and truly jump on the wrench to undo some of the bolts. Now I don't have a torque wrench, but if someone weighing 95kg has to jump in the wrench hard to loosen a bolt, they're WAAAAY too tight.

So I'll be emailing them a vid to demonstrate and asking them to post me 20x wheel bolts, and they'll never be seeing the vehicle again. If a 'professional' workshop can't torque a wheel bolt properly I sure as hell don't want them anywhere near the rest of the vehicle.

If they have loosened the wheel stud into the hub you may be in deep shite.
If you go to remove a wheel and the stud turns, what will you do then?

The hub is fine - the KL's don't have wheel studs - so you're unscrewing bolts rather than nuts - for now there's only a small amount of play in the head of the bolt, so I put them back in and tightened to a reasonable extent (no other option) - but as far as I'm concerned they all need to be replaced - the heads on the majority of the bolts are loose.

As a newbie Jeep owner, I had my first servicing experience this week. The KL diesel went in for its first service to Gulson Jeep (Fyshwick in Canberra).

Quite impressed. Made a note of all my issues (nothing major) when I dropped the car off and seemed to take them seriously. Found the oil leak I had reported and I'm already booked in again to have the faulty part replaced under warranty. Free loaner for the day, and my car was clean when I picked it up (which was no mean feat seeing as it was covered in bug guts from an interstate trip the previous week).

Only minor annoyance was they weren't able to do anything about the rattle I sometimes hear in the dash area. But I'll keep an eye (or ear) on that and might try pursuing it again next time.

I bought mine from Gulsons's as well as a Giulietta a couple of years ago. Service is fine there and they treat you like family. The dash rattle (more of a slight buzz sometimes) they cannot fix. The problem as I see it could be, hard and soft plastics rubbing particularly when we go on rough surfaced tarmac. My issue at the moment is the automatic tailgate which for some odd reason refuses to lock and sometimes refuses to come back down. This issue has only occurred since the warranty recall. So I will have to take the car back next service and ask them to fix. Could just be a faulty module or electrical connection. that said, I know most of the personnel by first name at the service end and also the sales staff including Graeme and his lovely wife. Always a pleasure to go there and swap yarn and have a coffee and also check out the new stuff.

Talking to a mate tonight who yesterday picked up his 2014 wrangler from it's 36000km service in Mackay. 4 hours later he was driving back to work and about an hour in the dreaded chime, looked at the temp. gauge which was in the red. Turns out the radiator cap was left loose and he's cooked his pentastar. And at the 24000km the check engine light was on and they said they fixed it, he drove up the road and it came straight back on.
So not good reviews for Mackay Jeep.
