I've had 4 Roos crash into cars that i've been driving and seen the results of many more.

Steel bars, alloy bars or no bars, none made any different to the end result unless the Roo was really small, in which case Steel and Alloy was about the same with no bar very close behind.

I find this almost laughable. I have lived in country central Qld for most of my life and roo strikes are part of life, I have had no bar, alloy bar and steel bars on different makes and models for 40 years and to see a comment like this is a joke. Alloy bars are next to useless but look pretty and are light and will still need to be towed home on many occasions after a strike, I have yet to come across a vehicle fitted with a steel bar that needed a tow after a roo strike, not saying there wasn't any damage to vehicle but still drivable.

Haha, there's more diplomatic ways to say you disagree, but thanks for posting your experience.

for me it's more about giving me the added protection of a steel arb bar will give me in reducing the chance of me or my passenger getting pollaxed . TBH i would rather run a nudge bar just for my lights but a nudge bar won't do shit.

I ended up ordering a Stedi light bar.
Going to have a crack at installing this weekend.

I have a Stedi Lightbar on mine. I think they are good quality and you don't pay much more than the usual Chinese lightbars out there. I went for the single row with the bigger LEDs just for the lower profile.
Enjoy
