Sunshine Coast new member
Hi folks, just about to pick up a new Wrangler Unlimited Golden Eagle. Only my second Jeep, but have two more in extended family. Haven't taken delivery yet, but looking forward to spending lots of time in it. Previous truck was a new Hilux, only had it for six moths and couldn't cope with the ongoing DPF issues - 11,000k's and 3 trips back to dealer and still not sorted. Anyway, really looking forward to getting back into a petrol 4x4.

Your best bet is Glasshouse because of the selection of tracks and difficulties. There is also Conondale National Park (between Woodford & Kilcoy) and Imbil State Forest (around Charlie Moreland campsite near Kenilworth) or Noosa North Shore and Bribie Island if you feel like a beach run. Landcruiser Mountain Park is also close enough for consideration imho.

Yep plenty of places around here to get of the black stuff.
Got it last week and have to say I’m really, really happy with it. SO nice being back in a petrol engine 4x4. Can’t believe how quiet it is inside, how comfortable and how well it drives - come a long way since the old CJ. Looking forward to getting off the road as soon as I get a few kms on it - hoping it’s as good off road as the Defender was.
Would like your opinion anyone too - do I ditch the GOLDEN EAGLE badging along with golden eagle on the bonnet? I’ve been asked more than once if I’ve started delivering for the local Chinese restaurant!

You’re not wrong ajftj, already ordered radiator screen, reversing camera (totally blind at night with the blacked out windows that came with the package), u bar to mount spotties, Stealth controller, sill covers.
Next to come:
- levelling kit (don’t need to raise it too much for where I go at the moment
- Rancho shocks
- new head unit with nav and data capability
- roof bar setup
- interior fit out for long trips away.

Glad to hear it's got you buying things already.
Hmm, the bird on the bonnet is a bit er... birdy.
Golden Eagle badging is fine though.
