Angry Sad News !!

Hi to all of you,
I will be picking up my new drive on Friday afternoon so sadly my time with Jeeps will be over. I have had 2 Grand Cherokees and have really enjoyed them both. The first was a 2000 WJ with the 4.7 l V8 engine, what a beast it was and it had the most beautiful exhaust note if you gave it a bit of stick. Only problem is that it loved fuel too much when towing our van. MY second Grand is our 09 WH Laredo which we are trading in on my new vehicle a new 2014, Toyota 200 series Landcruiser GXL.
I have very much enjoyed being a part of the "ausjeepoffroad" family and have made some friends here over the years and I intend to remain a lurker and probably not an active member. Thanks you to all you who have helped me over the years with your advice and expert knowledge to help me sort out & better understand many little issues I have had with my Jeep. So it's a fond farewell to you all and many thanks and remember to keep on Jeepin....

You should give us a regular Cruiser update to let us know how your transition is going. I'd been keen to hear an opinion from a former Jeep owner on what a LC is really like to live with.

I've hear a few comments about their transmission. I know that the earlier (pre 2012) had issues with 6th gear. Supposed to be a software fix for the issue and is included in all the current ones. Have to wait till I get a few K's on it before I can tow so won't be able to report until then.

The FIL has a 2011 sahara diesel, hasn't had many problems, except for something to do with the fuel filter. Could just be that he fills up at the wrong places, but seems to go through them. Has to travel with spares.

Hi Chris, that is a surprise swapping to the Landcruiser.
Have to let us know how you go.

I know a few that have them and have heard mixed stories.

Cheers, Craig
