Naturally aspirated engines are not built to handle the stresses of forced induction. You need to start with something already built for it, with stronger con rods and wrist pins, etc. Then there is the Hemi.

shell be fine.. supercharged, low boost, and intercooled.. 6psi max aiming for about 35% boost in power so about 70 hp... as long as we watch AFR's and ping there will be no problem, obviously winding the boost up and leaning out is going to kill it, but with modern engine logging and sensors we will be good. forged pistons, rods and drop in compression may come later. need to get it running stock first.

disagree,

heaps of motors in so many different cars handling forced induction with no worries.

I added a turbo on to my old patrol when it had 250,000km on it, and it never ran better. No dramas even when I sold it at 380,000km

plenty of mates done the same too.

as has been stated, if you go nuts with boost then yes there will be dramas, otherwise all good.

nah mate your expectations are just unrealistic, i just like to say it how i see it as i am completely biwildered by the fact that people by a jeep, retain a jeep and then crap all over it.
sick of negative people with negative comments that bring nothing to the forum
some people (read most) are more than happy with the JK so i like to counteract all the negative spam...and so that will continue.

if i thought that the JK was rubbish i would not have bought it
