What you have to remember with rotary compressors that they do not have an oil reservior in them and rely on the referigrant to lube them.
You ideally neet to go to a tool place and get a small inline oiler (goes on the inlet to compressor)
The York (piston) type have an oil reservior that lubes the moving parts of the compressor.
With a rotary compressor no lube = short life

To save your self even more space to to a tool place and do like I did get a self coiling hose (I have two yellow ones that allow me to reach right round the vehicle) and then you do not have to piss around rolling up hose.

Just in case anyone was thinking of using their Factory fitted AC Compressor for airing up , I DID and it work's awsome.
I pump up from 18psi to 35psi in 47 seconds with no tank .
I also have a plug in connection at the front on my bar, and a coil hose.

Using an oil drip feed to lube the motor and an oil catcher a the other side.
The intake of air comes from the air box at the point where the engine is also drawing it's air from.
And a master switch inside the cab , with a 10amp fuse in the glove box.

I used the factory comp cos' my aircon system was pointless
due to the un movable air vent's pointing out the window, that also did'nt cool me anyway.

I suppose if the decision to not have an a/c anymore has been made that is the absolute best solution to a most annoying task. I can tell you a 7psi 38" tyre takes a while to fill up on a Supacheap Compressor. Although it is faster than an ARB its still quite a while. It provides a good chance to go over the car and drink the rest of the beer thats left it would be handy to run tools of it. Can you or do you need a tank for tools? Neat job too Mud! Whats the cost of all the bits and peices required for the task?
