Default 2.5td Fuel Heater

Hi All,

I have a 1996 2.5td XJ and it seems the previous owner unplugged the fuel filter heater, removed the filter and stuck one on that didn’t have a heater element inside.

I had one on the old jeep and think with winter coming, I should probably pick one up. Anyone know the Part number or any non-original/other vehicle options that are available.

I have the cables with plugs just sitting there in the engine ready to be hooked up and start warming!

Thanks

As far as I know mine doesn't have a fuel heater as such on the fuel filter instead has a water in fuel sensor on the bottom .
The fuel is actually heated by the glow plugs at engine start up for a few seconds to help ignite the diesel easier .

Mine has 2 plugs on the bottom - one is water sensor, and the other is fuel heater. Small circular heating element inside.

Parker-Racor is the factory supplier.

Quite possible there is one but maybe for the ones for Australia was deemed not needed . Stand to be corrected ...

It should have 2 connectors on the bowl, one is water sensor, other is heater.
