Plate colours a one off at purchase thing. Then there's the annual fee if plate was purchased after a certain date.
It will cost $200 to change the colour though (rip-off). I enquired about changing my personal plates to better colour match my new jk rather than old tj a while back.

Annual fees have always aplied to full "custom" plates, e.g. full words, not something that can be made up out of a stanard plate.
I had a set of "custom" plates on my truck over 20 years ago and they cost me $400 a year back then and thats on top of your rego.

My DRJ33P are made up out of standard plate and was made before annual fees on these plates and when my son got the colour changed to more suit the Grand the RTA charged $400 because i have no annual fee.

Hi guys,
Sorry been away for work and haven't really had a chance to jump on to the forum.
Yes i can confirm the annual fee is just over $400.

As i said the price for the plates is negotiable.
