Question 2012 JK Wrangler Seat Covers

Hi All,

I'm brand new to the Wrangler family and I picked up my new 2012 Wrangler a month ago. Absolutely loving the car .

I am currently on the hunt for some decent seat covers that aren't going to cost me a bomb (everything I've found online is close to $500 for a full set!). Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Find it pretty hard to believe that no one on this forum has seat covers...

I've had the Rugged Ridge neoprene seat covers on for over 2 years now and don't have any complaints. They could do with a wash now but they're comfortable and are not visibly wearing at all. They also provide a little padding against the rock hard head rest. The only downside to them is they trap the heat so you get a sweaty back in the summer. From memory though they weren't cheap. I'd guess they must have cost $500 for the set or something like that.

Not sure what else is on the market as I haven't looked for a while. Probably depends on what you want as well. Some like the sheepskin type but I didn't fancy that. Others that may be cheaper are more generic types but I never think they fit very well. That's why I ended up with the neoprene ones.

im a real tight arse and i just bought some canvas seat covers from super cheap cost me $50 for 2 front fitted seat covers, i drive a 2012 hilux 4x4 work ute and realy didnt wanna wreck the seats with stains off my dirty work clothes but same as you couldnt justify $500 for covers so i chucked 1 of these on my hilux and the other on the drivers seat of my j10, they seem pretty strong they are a little stiff still but i think they will soften after a few months and i figure for $50 pair if they last me 12 months then i would to get 10 years from a $500 pair to break even, but maybe im just trying to justify the fact im tight lol...

Supercrap had cheap sheep skin covers for $20 a week ago. the have the special from time to time.
i have a set on my XJ that have been there for 18 months. they are good.
$40 for the front seats is good I think. Grey is the only colour they have.

Oyamum, do the canvas one fit the seats OK. I work in a mine, so I want to save my seats from my dirty work clothes as well.

Layback, how good do your generic sheepskins fit?

I guess if I can't get a good fitting set, I'm gonna have to fork out the $500 .

Yeh they fit pretty well for a generic cover, they did have 2 styles, 1 with the seperate headrest and the others are the 1 piece type which are the 1s i bought they fit well and a guy i work with bought the other style for his d40 navara and i reckon his actually fit better.
