BTW can I confirm with someone that the 2000 NSS will work on my 98 as I will get it regardless just in case my prob is not with the contacts.

The connector for the 97+ is different for 96-.

Not only did the connector change for 97 , but the switch changed as well. The 97+ switch also has a wire for the shifter being in (3). So while you could take a 97+ and splice on the older connector, you can't go the other way as the switch wouldn't have the extra contact.

Sounds like I will be fine fitting the 2000 switch to my 98 then? Was there no more changes to the NSS after 97 update was introduced?

Trying to look into options for fitting a 42" curved LED light bar above the windscreen. Looks like may have to fab up a mounting bracket for it myself.

found a nice little copper joiner in Bunnings tonight for a mesely $2.75. Now on the weekend I can see if I can fix my NSS by making new contacts. Just paid for another working one though so if my attempt fails I still have a back up plan.

Regards A

Bad judgement stalled in a puddle, towed out pulled airfilter drenched, motor has sucked in water yikes !
Pulled the coil pack plugs cranked the water out, used some hose to suck and spit out water out of the inlet manifold. Back together and bam it starts and runs perfect !
I just went to Cape york and should know better. Im very lucky.

Pulled the diff apart to do the bearings anybody recommend a bearing puller or a homemade one, also where's a good place to pick up a little 6-7 ml 12 sided spanner to pull the shaft bolt. Thanks if you can advise . Ps I'm in Croydon
