Default Cameron's Camper Brand New

Hi Guys

Some of you may or may not know we have just purchased a brand new Offroad Camerons Camper
After the trip across the Nullabor we decided (Wendy Decided) that the old camper was too heavy to set up and we wanted something easier to set up and pack up, that could be done easily by one person and we still wanted a soft floor because of the extra space you get with that design
And that is how we arrived at choosing the Camerons Camper
She was specified to have two water tanks with electric pumps, three gas clip on connections so we could run multiple gas appliances at the same time, different tail lights, no kitchen as we wanted to keep our old one, hard cover (which acts as a separate awning),
low profile brake handle (so it would clear the Jeeps tail gate)
Within a few days of getting it home; I had installed the kitchen (which had to be modified so it would sit right on the opposite side of the camper for what it was originally designed for), fitted a separate water pump switch for the sink, installed a volt meter, battery and got the reverse lights to work on a separate switch for lighting at night.
After fully packing it with all our usual crap I think we would of weighed over 1700kg
We then headed off to the Buckland valley to camp by a river for the next 12 days

Xmas Dinner

The set up

The kitchen finally installed with the reverse lights working, and Volt meter in place

The view from our front door

Internal shelve very handy

Our Instant and constant hot water set up

The pump that sends the water up to the unit

It was a great spot

Front view with both awnings set up

The Moon roof (very Flash)

Closer view

Fitted up the awning with some LEDs we felt very special

Our bed with plenty of storage space on either side and some LEDs fitted up it worked great.

The positives were a very easy set up
no pegs required
great quality canvas work
plenty of storage space
plenty of space to move around in
towed really well

Negatives
heavy
no swing up Jockey wheel (so after filling up the tool box packing up the tent only to discover you now need to invent so space for the jockey wheel)
Resistance disc brakes not electric (still undecided on these)

Overall though the service and quality has been fantastic.
I even received a call from the owner of the company Bronte once we got back asking how we went and if they could help on any questions we may have.
Now that doesn't happen very often at all in this day and age

You were down in civilization! I was about 40 min further up the valley on Dingo Creek track ~ still outside national park. No other campers there, only saw 2 cars go past from Christmas till a day or so after boxing day.

We need a like button. Very cool !
We hid our jockey wheel away like this . Easy to get at when needed & not hanging of the draw bar or taking up space in the tool box.

Hey Paul, are they 6 stud wheels?
Would be a pain not able to share spares with the jeep.

Hey layback
Tried the whole matching wheels thing . worked with the XJ but then with the WG it was to hard to get braked hubs redrilled & the stock 16" WG alloys i had for spares were the wrong offset & would have needed spacers . Now the WK2 has 18"s . Trailer has a spare wheel & tyre + an extra tyre i strap on if needed
I figured if i can`t get a 15 " tyre on the road i`m in trouble anyway.
Had the trailer for 8 Years now & never had a flat tyre , fingers crossed i didn`t just jinx myself .
