Thinking trying to get some sponsors into the pot in the new year for some new competitions again like we used to do.

Default Son of Trials 2011

SON OF TRIALS #6

It's on again! The Nissan Patrol 4WD Club of NSW & ACT Inc is proud to announce the Son of Trials #6 event being held on the 26th & 27th February 2011 at River Island Nature Retreat.

With a huge number of competitors expected at this years exciting event, a pre-paid online Entry is the BEST way to secure your place in the Son of Trials #6. Simply visit the Nissan Patrol 4WD Club website at www.nissanpatrolclub.org and enter online! A receipt will be issued, and we will have your door numbers ready for pick-up at the gate when you arrive at River Island.

FEES
Day Entry Pass - $30 per person if prepaid otherwise it's $40 per person if paying at the gate on the weekend itself.
Weekend Entry Pass - $50 per person (includes camping fees)
Competing Driver Fee - $30 per person (in addition to Entry Pass)
Children under 16 yrs of age have free entry.

All entries and payments must be received by us no later than Friday 18th February 2011.

GROUP ENTRY
Once again we are running a Group Entry system where you can enter and pay for your group online. This allows you the advantage over other single entrants to compete as one whole group of drivers and vehicles and secures your place amongst the limited entry positions available. If you intend on having more than one (1) driver per vehicle you need to enter under a Group Entry.

FOOD
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase at the event.

VEHICLE CLASSES (3)
The Son of Trials #6 is limited to three (3) distinct vehicle classes. They are as follows

1) Standard Style Class - For typically standard road registered 4WD vehicles that are unmodified, but we'll let you have a bullbar, towbar, driving lights and that sort of stuff!
Tyres: are limited to a maximum size of 31 inches. Please note if your vehicle has a factory tyre size larger than 31 inches as standard, then unfortunately we cannot permit you to enter in this class. You can enter if you fit 31 inch tyres or smaller to your vehicle. Vehicles that have split rims/tube tyres ("skinny's") as factory standard (eg older model Landcruisers, Patrols etc) that measure between 31-32 inches are permitted to enter in this class providing their vehicle meets all the other criteria.
Engines: must be original (or exact same type as the original) and unmodified.
Suspension: must remain completely unmodified. Body lifts are NOT permitted.
Gearing: modifications to diff ratios and transfer cases (eg crawler gears or twin transfer) are not allowed.
Traction Control and Diff Locks: are definitely NOT allowed. If you have them fitted to your vehicle, make sure we have some way of verifying that you cannot use them during the event (e.g. remove the fuse). We consider their use to be cheating and will result in automatic disqualification (and a good spanking, so there!).

2) Touring Style Class - For road registered 4WD vehicles with general touring style modifications.
Tyres: are limited to a maximum size of 33 inches. Please note if your vehicle has a factory tyre size larger than 33 inches as standard then unfortunately we cannot permit you to enter in this class. You can enter if you fit 33 inch tyres or smaller to your vehicle.
Engines: we don't care what engine powers your vehicle as long as it's legal, roadworthy and makes your 4 tyres go around and around!
Suspension: must retain its original factory mounting points and characteristics. Taller springs and shocks are permitted (with no limit on height) as long as original factory mounts are used and remain unmodified. Body lifts are ok. X-Links are permitted ONLY if the locking pin is in place, Superior Super Flex Arms are permitted, spring overs and leaf spring blocks are permitted.

No: bead locks, hydraulic type suspension, rear wheel steering and other "hard core" type modifications.

3) Traction Plus Class - For road registered 4WD vehicles with factory electronic traction control systems.
