the triple spals arrived today. hoping to get them on in the next week. going to make a proper shroud to go with them this time

howdy all just wondering if you have all bypassed the rad all together with a larger the tranny cooler i know probly been asked before but i just cant seem to find what i am looking for its just that i am going though the same thing at home my self and with a tranny temp guage it seams to me that the rad does nothing at all in cooling the tranny oil if any thing all it does is pre heat the oil to opperating temp but thats about it but has no affect on cooling the tranny oil at all

bypassed it ......

It does help drop the oil temp if the tranny is working hard ... so that the piddly little factory cooler has half a chance of being useful. But it only helps as much, as what the hot coolant temp allows.

Bypassed with 2 x factory coolers gives better average temps .... but even the two arent nearly good enough once theres a load on the tranny ........ The oil temp goes up - and stays up ..... so a decent cooler is a must IMHO.

Checkout the US Ebay. Many air assisted coolers there. In regards to bypassing the radiator, I'm going to use mine because it is on the left side of the radiator as it was sourced from the US, so will be much cooler than engine temp, plus I hope it will disipate heat much better..

And they are getting cheaper. I paid $300..
