Just a tad of advice re the Air Con Condensor unit. On my XJ, over a period of years, the Auto Transmission cooler (which sits in front of the Air Con Condensor, which in turn sits in front of the Radiator), must have slowly worked its way backwards so that it rubbed a hole on the Condensor and this week the condensor lost all the gas. Price of the new part $260 plus $90 for new A/C gas. Just look in through your grille and make sure there is at least a 2cm gap between the two buggers or your wallet will look like mine.
A simple small piece of foam wedged between the two parts won't stop air flow and will make me the only idiot who didn't do preventive maintenence. Mind you, it took 260k of travel to cause the problem, so a quick look can save you money, especially if you are nearing that mileage. If you are past that and it hasn't happened, then you are luckier than me..
