Default Auto gearbox clunking

Hi all,
I've noticed over the last month or so that when I go from drive into neutral or park there is a big clunk and jolt in the gearbox. It's OK going from park/neutral back into drive however. 05 model with about 100,000 klms on her.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Is MIL on or off. Mine does it whenever gearbox is in fault mode from MS solenoid or temperature sensor.

What is your engine idle speed when in neutral?
And is this petrol or diesel?

Thanks Guys for the input.
Car is a 2.8 CRD. Idles at around 800 rpm from memory. Seems to be getting worse. also has some other funny noises in it. Getting the big 100k service in a couple of weeks so will probably get it all serviced then.

Check the engine mounts and transmission mount.
