Default replace rear rotors/pads

Hi All,

We've got a 2014 diesel WK2 - done around 70000kms. Apparently, something has knocked the stoneguard on the rear passenger disk so that it was rubbing on the rotor (and has obviously scored it). Jeep have quoted me $1000 for replacing both rear rotors and rear pads. Has anyone else had this work done? Just wondering what you paid? I just have absolutely no idea how reasonable this price is.

(and yes, I have done a search).

Many thanks

Seems a little on the outer edge of the ballpark pricewise http://www.moparamerica.com/auto-par...ar-brakes-scat

I would be looking for either a Jeep specialist near you or another reputable repair shop, get some other quotes, you may be surprised.....

Definitely check out DBA and the aftermarket. $1000 for a half hour job with parts is ridiculous. If you can do it yourself would cost around $3-400. With labour maybe $600

I had a look at getting a set of DBA fronts for the WK2 as mine has done 70 000kms and starting to shudder so i thought of 'upgrading' them to a set of DBAs.
They have parts number listed but can't seem to get them yet in WA and dealer wanted stupid money for the genuine rotors so might have to wait until these cars gets a bit older maybe.
