Sorry to hear your not well fella!! Try not to stress to much with this, I know it can get you down!!

its not the action there of all this , its the health when I really mean I have trouble turning a spanner , it is by the time I do , I am buggered , and need to sleep no joke , the doctors (two of them) a husband and wife team , are the biggest third rate I have ever come across , imagine going into hospital with blood pressure of 225 and ECG machine broken , and doctor just looks and says do nothing ! , if it was not for nurses bitching at him to take action , I reckon I wouldn't be here today. and my son having ashma attacks due to the meds they insisted they give him. stress ? who needs that when you have doctors like this.

Stamp your original engine number on the replacement engine somewhere easy to see and grind the number off the original engine. Job done.

LoL I wish , I would do if vic roads has not already seen ,
its just the place where the engine number is , and even when you try to direct vic road where it is they don't have to give a stuff .
today should solve the problem as I am getting (at my expense) a rewrite of roadworthy . it just pisses me that I pay a booking fee at vic roads , and there is no shelter , just a slanted car park , pissing down rain wind blowing and I got to lay on the ground wet cold and sick as a dog to try to point there cheap crappy scope in the right direction . and the mechanics here who don't want to touch jeeps , and the dilly girly thing who has her warm toasted arse butt wrapped in a coat and all nice and dry while I have to lay where every man and his dog has pissed on the tar mac and thrown his used cup, burger and his forehead protection . (if you know what I mean)
some call it to hard basket , where in fact its that they are a basket. (wicker at that)

I find this thread interesting.
When I brought my jeep from QLD a few years ago, it had to be roadworthy & reg in Vic. The mechanic found a number but it didnt match what the paperwork for the car said. he did the roadworthy & put the number he found on the green form. I took it to Vicroads in Shepparton on the appointment & asked what was to be done. The Vicroads inspector has to see & read the number so I dont understand why the owner would be under the car. it got a bit interesting when they confirmed it had the wrong engine number. Ended up talking to the manager & he said all that was needed was for me to do a stat dec stating about it. They registered the jeep with the number that was on the engine, no problem. There was even a guy there who was able to witness the stat dec. I dont understand why there has been so much grief for the OP.

LoL my rocket powered hovering jeep ! , sorry , its just me , as I have a hec of a lot on and my health is not good .
3,000.00 is this better ?
4 months , and then final stab is the engine number .
so at 1pm I now got to get under the car again and direct the mechanics scope to the spot as he doesn't know where the number is.

hi layback , the other side of this is I live in a rural area , the only vic road is a subbie branch , they do not have a scope , or in fact lucky to have a brain here .
im about 100 minutes from Bendigo . and it does seem that this little area believed in keep it in the family. if you ever visited this town you would understand.
the sooner I get my jeep on the road , the sooner I can make plans to get the hell out of this god cursed place.
