Bribie is great, only 40 mins from my place and I have a year permit...don't use it enough as I'd like to though

Was thinking of organising an Ausjeep outing there one day maybe...

Layby'd a new Pioneer head unit today. This one has x2 RCAs so I can lose the splitter on my amp. Been told the sound should be better with out splitting it as well. Hopefully I can up the gains a little more. I have become a little deaf in the last year or so . Might be something to do with playing metal fairly loud in the XJ....

Regards A

Just be aware that the gain controls on amplifiers aren't there for volume control they are for matching the amp to the head unit so the amp will acheive full output when the head unit's output is near clipping....

Not quite what you mean JJ? I set the gains at about 2/3 at the moment. How do I know what to set them on? I currently set them with the head unit set on max (62) and the adjust the gains to the amount just before they distort.
