You know, you can build or modify a Dana diff pretty much any width you want. The supply of inner axles to suit your length is the catch.(Not much of a problem in the USA though.)
That is the beauty of round tubes with seals on the diff end of them. Pretty much designed to buggerizing around with. Just weld things on where you want them.
Huh? Did you read the first post? Correct me if im wrong but his issue is that his going to be 25mm over the original width or allowed.

I read on here that someone had 37s engineered but with d60s. Im not sure on the width.

Are you thinking you can use the other vehicle as evidence for the engineers that the diff will handle the 35s?

You might be better of calling a engineer and find out whats the go.

Yeah, I did read the first post, I just misinterpreted what his intention was for the additional axle assembly.
So the OP wants it for reference purposes. Does make more sense.

Does anyone happen to know of a vehicle that runs Dana 44 diffs with a similar track width?

If I can find this info, then I should be able to avoid swerve test etc..
1979 f150 uses a hp Dana 44 front. Track width on stock wheels is 1633mm, after a quick google session.

1620mm translates to 63.75inches
That's sounds close to what a post 82 FSJ front track would be.
