OK curiosity got the better of me. I suspect it is a solid state switching system rather than relays as there is a small residual current draw. However 0.0044ma (or 4.4 micro amps) is not going to bother me
For comparison for those who cant draw a perspective, a single LED like an alarm indicator draws around 3 to 4 ma and is usually flashing at 50:50 duty cycle so would average around 2ma draw. Thats nearly 500 times more than I measured.
