Or is there a kit I can buy to save money. I just bought this with 260k and no evidence in the the service of any of these parts being replaced before but the car was given to the original owners daughter 15000k ago and I suspect she has given it a flogging. Hi,
I just replaced my entire front suspension and exchanged basically everything except the axle itself (cleaned and replace the inner diff seals though).
I got the following layout:
1.) 4 tie rod off eBay, from a local supplier cost around 250 Aussie Dollar. Make sure you get the one for Right Hand Side
2.) Heavy Duty Ball joints from Iron Rock Offroad 89 US Dollar each side
3.) Track bar flex joints from Iron Rock Offroad 39 US Dollar each. They will replace the bushing and are much stronger. You will most likely never need to replace them again
4.) Flex joints for the upper control arm, 39 US Dollar. I only needed one for the diff since I have also a long arm kit which makes the other side irrelevant.
5.) Lower Control Arm bushings (there are no flex joints available), 9.95 US from Iron Rock Offroad
I also replaced the wheelhub, and the U-Joint of my axle which caused me some wobble but only on slow tight corners, springs and shocks.
If you going to replaced the ball joints you also might want to get a ball joint removal tool (eBay for 70 to 80 Aussie Dollar).
And finally you need some time and some other tools to get this done.
Let me know if you need more details I can send you pictures of what I have done.
Please check also this video
it will help you to identify what is really wrong with your suspension.
Thanks
