Exclamation Pureone Premium Oil Filters

Hi all, I'm new here. I own (well, the bank does at the mo), a 2009 wrangler unlimited 3.8l. Thank you MightyMouse for the part Nos.

I have a question though, if I may...It might sound stupid, but here it goes..

Regarding over-sized oil filters, Is it OK to mount them? In other words, I'm not going to lose my warranty, am I?

Thanks to all and best regards

Welcome mate

Not a stupid question at all.

If the filter still fits the original mount and meets or exceeds the manufactures filter specs there wont be an issue.

Out of curiousity why do you want to use an oversize filter?

Red face oversize oil filter

Hi BigfootBushy, thanks for the reply and the welcome.

I am a diesel-mech, (even if I am not practising the trade these days, and worked on industrial engines and then on petrol engines mainly Ford V6s for a number of years.

Now, I know that technology has advanced, etc. etc. but in my humble opinion, I think that the OEM filter is just the bare minimum for an engine of these specs.

The size of the filter was the first thing I noticed when I opened the bonnet for the first time..(Well, I'm lying...the first thing I noticed was the huge space in the engine compartment, hehe)..but you know what I mean...bigger filter, better filtering, flow and cleaning. I am always trying to improve things..

best regards

Hey all,

Does anyone know where to get a bulb (other than the jeep dealer) for the rear lights on (Brake and taillight)

I tried supercheap to no avail. It doesnt look like an ordinary bulb.

Thanks,

Ben
