Default JK Bullbar

Hey Guys,

I have recently bought a Jeep JK 2015.
I am looking to add a bullbar but the one I like does not covers the complete width. Photo for reference below.

Will it be illegal as per Australian Design Rules as it does not covers the complete front. The Importer does not provides any details.

Can I get it assessed somewhere?

First question is, 'what state are you in?', as this may affect the answer you get.

Any imported bullbar will not be ADR compliant as the manufacturer has to pay a lot of money for it to be tested. The recovery points alone make that bar illegal as they protude in fornt of the bumper. Also the bar should cover the front of the vehicle which that one does not.

Depending on what state you are in, you will more than likely get away with that bumper, right up until there is either a blitz or you get a copper on a bad day. There are a lot worse than that one on the road.

I got around the recovery points issue by carving a couple of yoga blocks & fitting them over the points, held in place by the shackles.

That's a great idea. I might do the same thing.
