Hand winch for incline assistance?

I guess you just can't make an omelette without breaking eggs... I'll probably end up with making a removable bracket in the front (maybe with 2 square receiver tubes) and just buy a 12v winch.
My main point for hand winch was that I don't want to carry the winch on a car all the time (because I drive on asphalt like 99.9% of the time).

My suggestion, go back with a backup 4x4 packing a snatch strap for insurance. Try the drive down and up to get the experience.

You're likely over thinking it and will realise your jeep in low can achieve some steep climbs.

The majority of our vehicles are daily drivers as well, a 12v winch is cheap insurance and just best left permanently mounted. They only add a few kilos of weight to the front end.

I totally agree with hopwrecked, I think you are worrying about it too much and will be surprised to where your vehicle will take you.

X2 on that, you will be surprised where the WJ with aired down tires can go (see my last post in the WJ picture thread).
