Swapped the wheels with all season tires from my WJ CRD Laredo to my WJ CRD Overland which still has summer tires. I've got a client renting the Overland to drive it to Karkol tomorrow morning to go skiing for the week.

Installed a pair of LED lights on the rear of the roof rack.

Intend to use these when setting up camp or reversing the boat at night time.

Fitted new front brake pads the other day. Got them from a shop in Mackay called Better Brakes, the are branded "RDA" and cost $64.11. Happy with the product and the orange looks pretty cool through the rim.
The only downside is that whilst fitting the new pads I discovered one of the pistons on the RH caliper was very difficult to push back so need to put a caliper kit through both sides.

I finally fitted my awning to my car yesterday. I say finally because I bought the awning about 4 years ago intending to fit it to my old XJ and never got around to it.
It is an "Open Sky" 2.5m awning.
The awning is attached to 2 x 8mm thick galvanised steel 90 degree angle brackets. The brackets are mounted onto 2 x extruded aluminium crossbars that are bolted to the car's stock roof rails. Large washers were placed under the rails to prevent the rails from being crushed.
The crossbars are made from about 6mm thick extruded aluminium and I got them out of a ute tray from a new Navara I think. They had those sliding tie down points on them in the well body ute tray (one of the perks of being in the scrap metal game for years).
All bolts are stainless with nylock nuts.
I'm really happy about getting this job done finally and very happy with the quality of the awning. The only negative about the install is a just noticeable noise from the wind across the end of the crossbars when driving but I'm sure I won't notice it after a little while.

I gather you are not a local! Where abouts are you from? The Netherlands?

I wish we had some snow here at the moment. 40+ degrees celcius.
And welcome!

Nope definitely not local. American expat living on Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan where I have a small tourist company that also does car/Jeep rentals and imports cars and motorcycles.

My Overland when it got back yesterday from Karakol with a client
