I use an "Optima yellow top and LED's and I have had no troubles.
If I ran a fridge, I would simply have one of those new fangled lithium jump starters and I feel all would be good.
Optima's are awesome and can take a hiding. I wouldn't run anything else.

+1, just not the lithium pack, never keep any lithium battery in your car, never ever......... "what's that mate, smoke, what you talking about the car is off"....."oh crap"......

Optima also make a blue top batt that is identical to the yellow top but with an extra set of terminals on top which is handy for winch cables or anything you like.

Gentlemen
It's been a while and doing a search on my current issue, I found my (to be honest, forgotten) thread from 4 years ago and good reason to resurrect: it's new battery time again

Back then, I eventually went with the Supercharge MF50, replaced under warranty about 2-3 years later, which had now starting to fail again. Looking into some of the Australian options

What batteries are you running?

Thanks for your input

I got at least 4 years out of each of my AC Delco units, I now use an AC Delco in my Pajero as I no longer own the Jeep anymore...

Sad to hear you no longer own the Jeep, JJ!
I've been away a while, not sure when you and the xj parted
I might find you in the Pajero forums now too

Looking at its size, did you have to modify the batt tray to fit the length?

The one I fitted is pictured on page 1 of this thread, it fitted the stock tray without issue, it was only replaced early this year by my nephew who owns the Jeep now...

I've owned the Pajero now for 2.5 yrs.....
