Default vibration on 2008 diesel at idle

Hi all,
Does anyone else have a vibration at Idle with their diesel JK's. Diving me crazy trying to find where it comes from. Goes away as soon as you increase RPM by about 50 revs. Any help will be appreciated.
cheers Mike

Had the same thing a little while ago mate. Mine was from the engine mounts. I ordered them direct through Mopar, they were bloody expensive. I did both sides and wish I'd done the gearbox too

Thanks StuieG, I check the mounts as per Utube videos and they seem fine. But who knows what causes these Vibs. I found the noise come from the plastic roof due to the vibration so will keep looking.

No probs. My JK vibrates intermittently from all over the place. Sometimes the dashboard, sometimes the roof. I've mostly given up caring.

Sorry that's not helpful. Hope you find it

Used to get this also.
Try putting some diesel fuel system cleaning fluid in the tank.
Also used to disappear for a couple of months after a yearly oil change when the dealers did the servicing
Now change oil & filter twice a year myself plus add fuel system cleaner biannually & vibration at idle seems to be a thing of the past (2007 build)

Air con pipes (if youve got them) behind the dash have been an issue in vibrating against their surroundings !
Was going to explore this avenue if it continued.

Do you get any creaks from around the front when it vibrates, or rattles?

There was an issue for a long time with the bolts at the top of the A pillars getting loose. (One was missing altogether when I got my JK 2nd hand with 70,000km on it. Found it later, down behind the dash!)

This usually caused creaks or squeaks from the general front area, but could, I think, also cause vibration in the roof if the roll bar from the A-B pillar was a bit loose, perhaps?

It may be fine, but it's easy to check & a free fix if it is!
