Default New 2018 Grand Ckerokee Laredo Diesel

Thinking about buying the above Jeep, I'll be towing a 2.8T caravan most of the time, is there any problems that is common to this model.
I have read a bit about the DPF problems or have they rectified it by now.
Any information welcome.

I had an XK Commander, which my son now has and I now have a 2016 WK2.
No problems so far with the WK2, love it.

I have had my 'new' JGC for 3 months and done 10000 k's with a 2.8 ton van, very happy so far.
The power and economy is great, from 90 to 110 in 6th gear (direct) is effortless acceleration for overtaking a road train! If your in more hurry you can always go back to 5th, but rarely needed, even on steep hills.
I am getting below 15 litres per hundred Kay's average for all those km.
Without van touring have had under 8.
I don't think the DPF is any more an issue with this vehicle than with any other makes. As far as I know problems relate to use rather than design.

There was a recurring issue with dpfs back in 2014, they updated the software and been virtually no dpf issues reported since then. There are some alternator issues going around that apparently don't affect 2016+ models.

i don't get where people are finding all these issues with the current wk2 . Maybe people need to check the dates of posts on certain websites . Since the current wk2 was released there have been very few issues

Yeah, aside from a few alternators...there's not much to squeal about really. The towbar issue on the current model is a truly bullshit comedy of errors.

Default New 2018 Grad Cherokee Laredo Diesel

Thank you all for your replies. Took a new G/C for a test drive today I thought it drove quite nicely, I was most concern with the ride quality as I have a few screws and rods in the old back, there is only one question that the so called salesman couldn't answer, is it a full time 4 wheel drive, meaning all 4 wheels are driving all the time??, thanks.
