I have the same problem. Replaced the rear shocks[waste of time] under warranty and the new ones are just as bad.The shocks are the problem and jeep australia are aware of this but are waiting to hear back from the states.I made them aware abt a month ago but am still waiting{not happy jan]. Abt to write to 4wd magazines or anybody who will listen abt this and other problems i have had.

Spoke with the servicing manager yesterday. Apparently they are still waiting for the Chrysler/Jeep regional manager to drop in so they can show him the problem. Interestingly he admitted that since my complaint their mechanic had test driven other similiar models which were in for work only to find that everyone of them so far has the same noise to varying degrees. Have asked him to see if he can speed up their research as the noise is starting to drive me mad. Some other websites suggest that it may also be the rear stabilizer bar. It is getting to the stage that I will go to a suspension expert and if necessary fix the thing myself and send the bill to Chrysler. If it is the shocks the Aussie equivalent can't be too expensive. Haven't written to Chrysler yet but will definitely do so if there is no result shortly. The battle continues

Keep posted on this as a mate of mine has this on his new WK2 CRD also and he has driven another with the same problem. It seems to be a STD fitted noise from what we have found. It is more pronounced on his on slightly bumpy roads which are common in QLD. Dealer has advised they have informed factory.

Hi Everybody My wk2 went in to day for the rear knocking noise. They have acknowledge the sound and have sent Jeep head office Australia the imfo and will get back to me with a fix. The service dpt think it's a valve in the rear shoks they also said mine is one of three to be fixed. Hope they find a fix.

It seems we are all having the same problem but jeep are doing nothing abt it. i have had my vehicle for 3 months and it is three months to long as this problem was there from the time i drove out of the showroom. You should not have to pay to fix the problem yourself.I am new to all these forums and i joined to see if other people were having the same problem as myself and it seems we are.Not sure if i can provide my mobile but i would like to so i can talk to others and talk as one to jeep.
