Removing single rear seat for Fridge
Hi everyone,
While my Jeep is at the dealer awaiting its aftermarket alternator, my mind has been running wild with the things I intend to do to build it up (Finally decided to start doing this after 4 years!).
I'm pretty set on a Murchison snorkel and a 2 inch lift and until recently, I was happy to go on my upcoming trip to fraser with a big esky full of ice. That was until I borrowed a friend's car fridge and everything changed!
A friend of mine has removed the single rear seat of his FJ to fit an ARB fridge and I am thinking of doing the same to my WK2. This would leave room for both of my kids and a full boot. I've done a pretty extensive search of the forum and haven't managed to turn anything up like this idea.
Has anyone done this or seen it done? What are people's thoughts? The only downsides I can see is that it will remove the dead space between the two child seats, where I'd normally just store crap anyway and I'd need to think of another way to carry water, as I had planned to purchase a 40L rear footwell water tank.
I feel like this is an efficient use of space and would give me more flexibility in the boot.
