We replaced our KJ with a KL limited, the wife loves all the tech in it.
Me, I preferred the KJ.....

Same. Wife loves the tech and carlike dtiving of the KL, personally I like our old XJ or KJ better.

There is nothing as comfortable and capable as a well setup KJ. I will never get rid of mine. Young Dave of SJC had to drown his 2005 KJ before he switched to a Grand, which I believe he then tore out a strut tower on tracks that would not phase the KJ.

Hello again, been a while.
I really miss my KJ Cherokee since selling it, and thought I would say hello.
I have been busy on the Ford Territory Diesel forums (I have a Ford Territory Diesel and an XR6). The knowledge I managed to learn here came really handy. I miss a lot of the great knowledge on this forum, and in comparison the Ford guys are WAY behind especially in Diesel knowledge.

The 2013 Terry Diesel (2.7L V6) has been mainly OK, apart from a failed EGR at around 42K km. Managed to fix it myself for under $300 (there are 2) (Ford quoted me over $3K). I have since disabled the EGR, and thinking of installing a catch can (pain in the ass due to lack of space).

My other car is a 2014 XR6 EcoLpi (dedicated LPG 4L straight 6), and it's probably the most reliable car I have owned. LPG version develops more power at a lower rev range compared to Petrol. There is also no carbon to worry about. It actually costs less than my Terry Diesel to run.
Nothing to do on it except change oil. I now understand the LEGEND of the famous Barra engine. In fact it would be perfect for a Jeep, due to all the low torque.

Anyway, take care, and enjoy the KJ Cherokee (especially the 2.8 Diesel).
