I did read through the customs website about the fees you incure. But the stuff is all over the place and there are fees for fees virtually. I just made sure I had xtra put aside just incase the cost blew out.
And as for staggering the deliveries to lower the fee, I just hate waiting and wanted it all at once.

You'll probley find that if you broke it up into 4 packages it would have cost you the extra anyways due to the way shipping is calculated. I'm the same as you I can stand waiting for things! At least yours got here first go! Mine got sent to Italy by mistake and then was lost and then caught up in customs for 4 weeks!!! So my express air freight went from 6 days to 6 weeks thanks FedEx! Can't wait to see your order I think doing the suspension is the most exciting part of the build! And after reading the rest of your thread I think you won't want to go smaller than a 35 IMO

Splitting up shipping is ok in small lots but they know if 4-5 $900 parcels go through to and from the same people and get you anyway.

This really makes no sense, the IRO gear is all imported into here from the US and almost always will attract duty when the value is in excess of $1k.

I've had several dealings with IRO and the usual delivery time for me is around 4-5 days....
