Default Let there be light... On the dashboard

I changed the T-bar shifter wedge style lamp today and did not realise the light intensity that I have lost on the dashboard and other internal lighting over 25 years.

I am thinking what else am I missing?

Does anyone have a list of lamp types needed to replace a pre update XJ dashboard? My instrument cluster is on its last wattage.

The cluster in the far right that displays the park brake, check engine light, 4wd mode etc is down on a couple of lamps. My previous stealer in a bygone era took lamps off dormant functions e.g.ABS to replace lamps blown in much used functions. Are these lamps that hard to find?

Thanks for any feedback and direction.

I’ve replaced all the lamps in my preupdate XJ with blade style led lamps. I used blue ones to give my interior a blue hue instead of that greenish look. I will see if I can find the kit I bought to replace everything in one hit.

Thanks for the link Alexbrown64. Blue looks great, but I am trying to keep it as stock as possible. I will have a look at the white kit, otherwise, I will need to pull the fascia out and explore what bulbs are already there and whether I can find replacements, particularly for the instrument cluster and the RHS 4WD indicators, check engine light etc.

My Fascia is looking a bit worn after all these years. May be ordering a replacement. I can just imagine it cracking upon removal.

I need to do some of these globes too, especially the ones on the RHS panel (my CEL and seatbelt light dont work). Keen to see how you go.
