What Jeep do I drive?: CJ
Default Campground suggestions

I'm looking for a suggestion on a good weekend camping spot within a 2 hour drive of Geelong. We've only lived here a short while and have only been hitting the caravan parks as our kids are small. This summer I want to try them on some "proper camping". We travel with a Navara and an off-road Goldstream camper so a bitumen highway is not necessary.

Thanks for your help.

This is coming from a ex Victorian who moved away to Brisbane 8 years ago so my info may be a bit out of date. The Aire river past Appollo Bay was a favourite spot of mine. 2 ways to get in there depending if the bridge was OK or not. Last time I went past in 2002 the bridge was burnt out. Camp right on the river bank about a k from the beach. Fish out your tent if you want. All for free. Take your tinny if you have one.
