Default Easter Trip - Moreton Island

I dragged girlfriend over to Moreton Island over easter to do abit of off-roading, camping, fishing and drinking. Well i got bogged once on the soft stuff, caught a 5cm baby flathead and got blind..... so overall a great weekend trip, even with a standard Jeep.

Loaded up and ready to roll

Tight fit on the MiCat, not many Jeeps either

Setup camp @ Ben Ewa, pretty good site, close to the bay, pit dunnies, cold showers = upset girlfriend

Middle road to Eastern Beach was pretty rough, thought i might of lost the front air dam

Sounds, and looks, like you had a lot of fun! First thing I always do when going on the sand with my KK is remove that crappy black front air dam and the rear molded mudflaps. I swear those rear flaps are shaped perfectly liked shovels and are just waiting to dig in and rip my plastic rear end clean off ><

If your unsure how to remove that front air damn it's SUPER simple. Simply turn 4 little lock clips and off it pops..... I didn't even bother to put mine back on again after as I prefer the look with it removed! Guide/Pics here:

We were over on Moreton for a few days just before the Easter rush, we left on Thursday last week, weather was fantastic. Not so good with the fishing I think the flathead I got would have been good bait for your 5cm monster.... Good to see another KK over there, I thought I was the only one.... I didn't get stuck at all (I'd be pretty disappointed if I did after all the mods and $$$) but did have the pleasure of pulling a Prado out of the soft stuff.
