No power for the last 36 hours
After high winds up here in the dandenong ranges a large number of trees down in our area and we are still without power over 36 hours later. According to the message on the emergency line it will be (hopefully) 1am before we are back on line!
House is bloody freezing, freezers are defrosting and it looks like takeaway again.
My other problem as well is that all our phones are running low or out and we don't possess an old fashioned alarm clock any more!! Might have to sleep in tomorrow!
I love it here in the hills but it's times like these that I start to think about moving closer to the city away from the bloody gum trees.
Ok,rant over.
Sent from my iPhone because my kids are on MY laptop again.

Dont you have a camping generator or an inverter?
There are people not on grid & they survive.
we have had a couple of reasonable days up here. A little wind, the roof is still on so its ok.

Unfortunately the camping generator needs fixing (has done for over a year)
We have been lucky the last couple of years that most power outs have been short. It's now you realize how dependent you are on electricity.
