It sits just behind the front cross member that way the hoses have a clear run, grill/headlight fascia is well clear and it sits about 10mm off the P/S cooler plumbing. The upper brackets are fixed to the rail for the P/S cooler and are 'U' shaped. As for heat removal, actually I would like a separate cooler for the tranny with an electric fan. Will see how it goes on the Range tomorrow, bound to get stuck in traffic, haven't replaced the grill yet just in case as it's a bastard to remove.
Cooler is for a V8, 4lt plus so should do the job, wouldn't want anything bigger though, no damn room. May change the hoses around later on and see what happens as easy enough to do on the ramps, did notice that the rubber hoses at the radiator end needed to be changed, getting a bit hard after all these years.

I would love to see a trans temp readout and a test as to whether the temp is better when plumbed before or after the radiator. I see what your theory is and it has merit but I also wonder whether given the size of the typical trans cooler whether it would actually run more efficiently if the initial heat is removed by the radiator. Plumbing before means the cooler can never cool lower than radiator temp regardless of the situation. After means it can in theory.
I think it is better to run it after the rad to provide supplementary cooling to the transmission. I don't think the transmission will increase the radiator temp significantly and as fester said the transmission fluid will never be lower than the rad temp which may not be ideal.

Default Globes

Well one of the brake lights crapped out so I pulled the light set off and found all the rear globes are the same, wierd yank style which meant no spares in shed, so I just swapped the never used fog globe ) bottom one) for the brake one, simple.
Have to see if REPCO have them in stock.
Where's that post you did on them fester ??
Took some pics of the globe and will add a section to 'Everything 2.7' on all the lights when I get some pics of the front ones sorted. Checked out the NARVA listing and looks like it's a Narva 47557 can get a yellow one as well (4755.

Both sides of the globe and the holder Wagner 3157

I like the idea of them all being the same in the rear and the botom socket can be the spare globe, works a treat.

Default Water in Fuel Lamp

Been getting the water in fuel lamp coming on at odd times, fuel checks out okay so must be a dodgy sender.
Anyone else had this happening ??
