Gotta be happy with that eh, they do suit the vehicle especially when color matched

Cheers,

The pioneer tray roof rack was making more wind noise than expected at highway speeds, and I think this was due to it having a "nose high" stance when mounted directly on to the supplied RLCP legs.

Added a pair of 10mm spacers and longer bolts to the rear mounts, and now the tray sits more or less horizontal, and wind noise is reduced.

I am planning to use this style on illuminated switch & some relays for the underbonnet compressor, LED lightbar and some auxillary lighting. Available on ebay in red, blue green and orange illumination (I went with blue) in momentary & latching configuration.

They are similar size to the fuel filler door switch and should look almost factory like if mounted in a row beside it (apart from the recess around the fuel door switch)

The compressor, lightbar & UHF installations will have to wait for a month or so as I plan to put some kms on the vehicle in the Vic high country and blue mountains over the next few weeks.

Hey Hibernator, I've just had my original plastic roller fairlead replaced with the aluminium Hawse fairlead by ARB. Now it seems to spool correctly. Handy note that I found for stowing away the hook (found this from another post on another site) Picked up some "docking rubber" from Clark rubber, cut about a third of the piece off and cut a hole on each side. Pulls into the fairlead without doing damage and also keeps the hook sideways so it's all hidden and stowed behind the flip numberplate. Also this way the rope and hook won't get caught up on anything while going down the track, and keeps tension on the rope.

I'm pretty sure they recommend these spacers when you select the vehicle mounting option!
