I dont think he is fos, chrysler australia doesnt give a toss about their customers after sale, ive had numerous issues with my jk wrangler. They dont care, issues that should never arise in a vehicle of such a young age, also the price of genuine parts in aus is a complete joke,

I see what and agree with what you are saying arogantz, it does us no favours giving jeep haters more ammo, but they were just going to give us hell regardless they don't need an excuse.
I dont feel he is trying to incite hate, he is just calling jeep and chrysler aus out for their pathetic customer and after sales service.
To many jeep lemons, I'd never buy one new....

I'm all for it. No way should a near new car have so many problems and to not have it resolved as well that is just plain shit. Good on ya I say. You are gonna get some bagging because people can become pretty precious about the cars they drive. I mean lets face it from my experience with an old Jeep only one car have ever given me more grief and that was a Ford...... I'm the lucky one as my old bomb cost me far less than yours. IMO Jeeps don't seem to be all that reliable. By that I mean so many problems on cars that are not that old. I know people will hang shit on me for agreeing. But it really goes without saying when you see stacks of new threads about problematic near new GC's and near new JK's. I don't hate Jeeps, don't get me wrong. However the evidence does suggest that Jeeps are not made all that well.

BRB just preparing my flame suit.................

While your point of making Jeep Australia accountable for their product is truly valid I unfortunately see this stunt as a get out of gaol free card for them. You will effectively (and literally) destroy the problem in their eyes???

What's the point? This won't hurt Jeep Aust, they know people have short memories and the product they sell is essentially no worse that any other manufacturer.

So the dust will settle and the sales will continue and by destroying the Jeep you have removed yourself as their problem.

I know litigation can be expensive (you know you can represent yourself) but unfortunately some times it is a necessary evil to hold people accountable and a win in court (even if it isn't the financial one you wanted) is a win!! Then plaster the results in every forum you can that they CAN be held accountable....open the flood gates so to speak.

Because we don't persevere with fighting these issues is the reason the don't fix the problems.

Good luck but in my opinion you have wasted more effort and money for little to no gain.

All the best.

Matt

Whilst I feel for you getting a lemon I think you've shot yourself in the foot with this one. Despite all the media coverage and general "lol jeeps" response around the web the amount of ppl putting their money where their mouth is is low.

You're only getting a trickle of people per day and are still 20k well short of your goal. I doubt you will reach your target and any chance you had of getting Chrysler to come to the party are well and truly out the door now.

What evidence do you have that supports your claim? I have owned many cars and have had family and friends who have owned cars that have never give them the amount of grief that I read about Jeeps. I am happy to name the makes and models that I have driven which have had very few problems compared to Jeeps. I think your kidding yourself if you think that all cars are as bad as Jeeps.

I love my Jeep, well a love/hate relationship I guess. I have never in over 30 years and almost as many vehicles had a vehicle with so many problems. Even the $300 bomb with rego I bought was more reliable!

My work car is now 170,000km old and its only issue was me running into the back of another car at a roundabout (he stood on the brakes with no tail lights..)

The Jeep on the other hand has had (at retail prices) almost $15,000 worth of repairs under warranty, still has 2 undiagnosed stalls it would not restart from for 20 minutes (at traffic lights..) and now has a second clock spring failed but this time out of warranty.

I feel his pain.
