Think I've transfered everything over and given it a rough sort, a bit more tidying up and all should be good.

PM me any ideas for improvements so things don't get cluttered with chit chat, basically want to keep it as an Info thread.

But keep checking it out as it will be updated when new info comes to hand.

Use this thread "2.7 Drivers" http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...d.php?t=124984 as a chat thread for " Everything 2.7".

This thread is a data thread...................................
No CHIT/CHAT please.

Other post's will be deleted................use the link above or PM me.

As of Jun2015 if you can't contact me about an update to the thread contact a moderator as I have sold my Jeep and it may be some big gaps between log ons.

Default In-Line Speedometer Calibrator Module

I'm going to add this link for 2.7 CRD owners but I'll quantify that I haven't tried this so not sure if it will actually work. I got the details from a WH post by Clarky where the WH CRD boys can use the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator to adjust tyre sizes and diff ratios in the ECU. Whilst I'm sure we cannot use that I notice at the bottom of the page this inline adjuster that might work for those guys who have found that you can't change diff ratios without upsetting the ECU.

I got a sweater for Chrissy, nothing wrong with that except I was hoping for a moaner or a screamer.

WJ CRD diagnosis just got a big boost:
The people over at jeepswj.com wrote a program which can read and erase the ECU and TCU error codes. No more DRBIII to diagnose transmission problems.
You need to download their software, which is on the website:
This is the interface I've used:

For some strange reason it took quite a few tries to connect, and that happened every time and on two cars.

These are the codes on mine (all transmission faults were fixed at some point)

The other car which I've tested was in permanent limp mode because of N2/N3 sensors. Conductor plate was changed but limp mode could not be cleared without the scanner.

Confirmed WCF158 fuel filter is the part number, however manufacturers fault left tolerance for hole in top to insert plastic rail supply too small on 2 filters. 1st filter resulted in broken clips to remove. Second filter with new mercedes fuel supply pipe still did not fit. Mercedes sourced filter fit perfect. Please be careful with Wesfil/Cooper

My stock injectors were Bosch 0445 110 098. Mercedes A612 070 00 87
Advised by Bosch agent superseded by 0445 110 203

Default MS-10838 Hydraulic System Power Steering Fluid

Just a caution to WJ/WG (with hydraulic fan) owners who plan to purchase MS-10838 'Hydraulic System Power Steering Fluid' through Jeep in Australia as a replacement for MS-5931 which has been out of production for quite some time.

MS-10838 appears to be dropped from inventory here in Australia.

My old part number: 05142893AA (taken from my last bottle purchased a few years ago in Aus through a dealer)
Possible new part number: 68234631GB (Mopar International part number replacing 68234631GA).

There is no stock showing in Sydney but there is some in other regions. It is still available overseas.

Dealer part searches against your VIN will possibly bring up an empty result for compatible power steering fluid and as has happened to me, your indie mechanic may even be directed to use ATF+4 (mine was after a steering box replacement) which is not compatible with our hydraulic fan setup.

As I needed mine in a hurry I'm flushing and reverting to MS-5931 compliant Penrite PAS fluid which is unfortunately a bit more expensive.

Hopefully a week of ATF+4 in the system hasn't killed anything.
