I've had this rear shaft in my eBay favourite's for a while now, price and shipping is quite good.

Paid just over $700
Damn sight heavier than the genuine one though
Can't use a socket on the rear yoke bolts
But it's fully rebuildable now

Clarky must have got an operator on a bad day

Took the opportunity this morning to upgrade the engine idler pulleys
The OEM are plastic, the nuline pulleys are steel

Drop the power steering hose protector plate
Drain the radiator and remove the top hose
17mm multihex socket and long extension to flip the tensioner
5mm drill bit to hold tensioner off
Need to remove the turbo resonator mount too

The OEM pulleys have plastic caps

There's 3 idler pulleys
1/ One in the centre at the top
2/ One down the bottom on the left

3/ Lastly on the tensioner itself
The steel pulleys have slightly different washers

This was a two beer job
But I also took the opportunity to heli-coil threads for the turbo resonator and the turbo outlet pipe
Slowly getting the old girl into shape

I'm getting what sounds like a bearing about to die from my old girl atm hoping its just the idler pullies, but its only while accelerating or cruising as soon come off the throttle the noise goes away. what do you think it could be.

Could very well be idler pulleys
When the engine is producing torque the belt tightens up
Flip the tensioner & you'll be able to rotate the pulleys
See if one in particular feels rough

Cheers
