Watch the dpf % full sensor, it will get to about 60%, then CAT1B1 sensor will show temps up around 600C, normally it is around 300C (from memory). That will continue for about 15mins, then the dpf level will drop to ~8%.

ok, so I had the update as well, and now the fan noise... Looks like it's coming on 'early', when the outside temp rises..
Just to only happen a few times, now almost every day. I even turn the car off at lights to stop the fans!
I just got home, and I think I smell a bit of electrical burning... Could be my imagination though...
Anybody else smelt burning? I'm assuming the fans can run on MAX for a long time, but then again...
I was told Jan update, not NOV.
I've also got a problem with the NAV, I can't change if from NSW... not handy as I can't enter in addresses in Canberra or QLD!!!!

You can use VR to change between States. (Assuming you have an MY15 or greater).

Hills,
Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier but Benn0 hit the nail on the head.
FYI, here is a screenshot from OBD Fusion during a burn. Note the DPF% over 70% which prompts it and the Cat temp of 672:

Here is another post-burn. DPF% now 8.6 and Cat temp settled back down under 300:

Hey guys, can you send me the layout, config for that screen shot of the cat temp etc?
What software is that? I'd like to be able to monitor mines as well.
I've got OBDeleven and torque (lite)... sorry if this has been published before..

I have the paid torque app, the temp gauges are all preconfigured, the dpf gauge uses this custom pid:
OBD2 PID : 01 8B (or Mode: 01 PID: 8B)
name : DPF % Full
min : 0
max : 100
scale factor : 1
units : %
equation: C*100/255
Thanks to Steve1307
