I have an amarok also and know of a fair few crew with OA suspension on their Amaroks and seem to be pretty good quality. Haven't heard of any complaints

I know of one WK2 and a couple of 200series that have fitted OA suspensions and no negative comments from any.

Hi,

Long time reader first time poster. I've got a 2011 WK2 Laredo I've had since new and have only started seriously taking it on some trails up Central Queensland coast way.

Anyway I've just pulled the trigger on getting a mix of Mopar and Chief product plates under the jeep and an outback armour lift. Happy to provide a review for the crew here.

I am a little concerned that the lift is only 1 3/4 inch lift as opposed to at least a 2. However, apparently they have the longest shocks of any off the shelf lift available so it should make up it's lack of heigh with decent articulation.

Anyway the lift is only 3 weeks away from happening so I am happy to hear any experiences with the WK2's using OA lifts. Hopefully reassuring ones!

Okay! So I have just returned from a 3 day trip at Landcruiser Park with my new outback armour lift (springs and shocks). So far I am very happy with the spring and shock combo.
On the street I wouldn't even know I was lifted. In fact I find that the car actually rides better and corners much flatter than it did with the standard shocks (129,000km's old and what I considered to be still in good condition). When the road goes to dirt it handles the minor bumps and corrugations beautifully. Very impressive and compliant.

Offroad the lift was definitely still comfortable and at no time did I consider the 1 3/4 inch lift to be lacking. I was concerened not getting a full 2 inch lift likes some other brands offered but I did not find it lacking in clearence at anytime. The only negative I could see (maybe I had higher expectations in that I was told they have the longest travel shock of any lift available for the WK2) was that the downward travel did not go much further than where the wheel actually sits with load on it. I found myself see sawing quite a few times which made it difficult in trying to predict if I was going to come down with a gentle drop or a hard thud.

Other than that no topping out issues, no thuds or knocking sounds. The outback armour lift was tight, compliant and very capable. I give it two thumbs ups and consider it to be the best thing I have bought for my Jeep thus far!

With independant suspension on the GC a lift won't give you noticeably more articulation

If you want to compare to the Murch 2.5 lift, draw a line from the rock rails through the centreline of the wheels on yours and the side on picture from this post:
