I am in the same position and need to decide between the Pirelli Scorpion ATR and the Cooper HT Plus in 275 55 20. Has anyone tried these more road orientated Coopers?

If you are looking for a highway Cooper, you cant go past the SRX. They have them in the size you want as well.
Had mine on for 40K now, and they have hardly worn. They are super quiet and awesome in the wet.
Check them out.... http://www.coopertires.com.au/our-range/4x4-tyres/srx/
Cheers, Craig

The Nitto's are great for longevity but not too good in the wet. I just replaced mine after 65,000kms and they still have a heap of tread. I only replaced them because they're no longer any good in the wet, and I tow a boat.

I second Craig's recommendation. I replaced the original Kumho's with the SRX at 38k (Kumho's were stuffed). I've done 10k on the SRX so far and they look like you could still put them back on the rack as new tyres. Very good on road manners, especially in the wet. Cooper offer an 80k warranty on them (twice the distance I got out of the Kumho's) but were only $15 more per tyre.

HI,
X3 for the Cooper SRX. We find them quiet, and excellent in the wet. Tow okay too.
Cheers,
Sally

Hi,
Yes, have used them for light off-road (gravel, small rocks) tracks. Not a problem!
Cheers,
Sally
