Default Tailshaft / Vibration (under load)

Hi all, firstly love the forum... have been following since I bought the wk2 3yrs and 5mths ago...never had an issue until the last couple of weeks. 61k on clock.

Have a small-medium vibration in the driveline, under acceleration, not deceleration, not in neutral. From forum i think it may be a uni joint / centre bearing issue...however would like some opinions. I've also tried removing the hill-assist, and traction control to rule that out.

I've attached some pics... doesn't look like it's coming from the centre-bearing, however have been wrong before. Please help if possible.

Does that mean it's fixable, or a complete tailshaft job? sorry about the reply, work away.

Hi. See tail shaft problems on page 7 24/12/2017.
Centre bearing throw out grease, whole tail shaft was changed.
Sorry its bad news, costly repair, unless jeep replaces it under good will being 3 months out of warranty.

Should find out on mon\tues if outcome of goodwill request. Dealer pretty confident as I've had it serviced there since new. Jeep Kippa-Ring, always been awesome when it comes to my jeep, and i'm pretty meticulous. Two thumbs up, regardless of the outcome.

Next question is,... vibration pretty bad now. If covered under goodwill, it'll take 3weeks for new one to come from USA. Can I take the rear tailshaft off, and it still be driveable as per normal? QD11, OR11 with all the electronic diffs and lockers stuff.

I have seen that done on other makes that have a selectable full-time 4wd transfer case, that also use a flanged uni-joint, so the oil doesn't come out the back for the transfer case when the driveshaft is removed.
